The Filipina is renowned for her beauty, her caring disposition and having strong family values. These attributes make a Filipina Wife a desirable choice for many single men.

So what is a Filipina? The original inhabitants of the archipelago known as the Philippines are of Malay origin. For centuries Chinese, Indian and Middle Eastern traders visited the Philippines often leaving more than just a cultural influence. The Philippines was under Spanish control for 400 years and the Filipina has adopted many of the Latina characteristics and have a unique beauty all their own.

The Philippines is not considered part of the Latin world today but has been strongly influenced by its Latin past. Discovered by Portuguese explorer Magellan on his historic circumnavigation of the world the Philippines was named after King Philip of Spain who was funding the expedition.

It has been said that the Filipinos were not encouraged to learn Spanish due to a change in colonial policy. Despite this the preferred everyday counting system is Spanish and the currency is the Peso. The National Filipino language is very rich in Spanish words and while the language does not grammatically incorporate gender they have adopted many gender endings. They will use Filipino for male and Filipina for female.

In Central and southern Philippines a handsome man is guapo and a pretty girl is guapa. Further South around Zamboanga in Mindanao there is an area where the people speak a language very close to Spanish called Ciabacano.

Filipino cuisine is also richly influenced by both Spanish and South America (the Philippines was actually administered from Mexico). Dishes such as Paella, Apretida, Aroscaldo, Menudo and Calderita are considered Filipino.

In traditional Filipino music and dance there is unmistakably a Spanish sound and it is considered an integral part of their cultural heritage. The traditional dress style is also Spanish but as in most Latin American countries the younger generation prefer the American fashions. The Filipino have also adopted much of the Latin values and attitudes. Perhaps the biggest legacy is Catholicism which is embraced by vast majority of the Filipinos.

At the turn of last century control of the Philippines past to American hands and it has often been said that the Philippines spent 400 years in a Convent and then 40 years in Hollywood. English was quickly adopted as a second language and most people you will encounter will have a good command of the language so basic communication is seldom a problem. Most Filipino people admire and aspire to Western culture, in particular American.

The Philippines is outwardly one of the most Western countries in Asia yet I have heard it said that if you scratch the surface of a Filipino you will find an Asian. The Philippines still shares many cultural traditions and values with its neighbours.

The cuisine is a blend of Malay and Chinese with strong Spanish influences. American fast food is also extremely popular. American fashion rules but there is always a subtle hint of Latina in the way they dress. American music rules but again old Latin influences are often found in home grown music. Any new Western music featuring Latin sounds is guaranteed to be popular in the Philippines

The Filipina is a product of all these influences both genetic and cultural. Their amazing beauty is a result of the infusion of many different ethnic influences coming together to produce the beautiful hybrid we call a Filipina.

A love Story

One day I woke up early in the morning to watch the sunrise, Ah……. The beauty of God’s creation is beyond description. As I watch, I praised God for his beautiful work.

As I sat there, I felt the Lord’s presence with me. He asked me, “Do you love me?” I answered, “Of course God! You are my Lord and my Savior!” Then He asked me, “If you are physically handicapped, would you still love me?” I was perplexed. I looked down upon my arm, legs and the rest of my body and wondered how many things I won’t be able to do. The things I took for granted. And I answered,” It would be tough Lord, but I would still love you”. Then the Lord said, “If you were blind, would you still love my creation?” How could I love something without being able to see it? Then thought of all blind people in the world and how many of them still loved God and His creation. So I answered, “It’s hard to think of it but I would still love you.” Then He asked me, “if you were deaf, would you still listen to my words?’ How could I listen to anything being deaf/ then I understood. Listening to God’s word is not merely using our ears, but our hearts. I answered.” It would be tough but I would still listen to your words”. The Lord then asked,” If you were mute, would you still praise my name?” How could I praise without a voice? Then it occurred to me, God wants us to sing from our very heart and soul. It never matters what we sound like. Praising God is not always with a song but when we are PERSECUTED, we give God with our word of thanks. So I answered, “, though I could not physically sing, I would still praise your name.” And the Lord asked me, “do you truly love me?” with courage and strong conviction, I answered boldly,” Yes Lord! I love you because you are the one and true God.” I thought I have answered well, but God asked,” THEN WHY ARE YOU SIN?” I answered”, because I am only human, I am not perfect”. Then He said,” THEN WHY IN OF PEACE DO YOU STRAY IN THE FURTHEST? WHY ONLY IN TIMES OF TROUBLES DO YOU PRAY IN EARNEST?” No answer, only TEARS.

The Lord continue,” why only sing in sacrament meetings? Why seek me only in times of worship? Why ask things so unfaithfully?” The tears continued to roll down my cheeks. “Why are you ashamed of me? Why are you afraid of sharing the gospel? Why in times in persecution, you are to others when I offer my shoulders to cry on? Why make excuses when I give opportunities to serve in my name?” I tried to answer but there was no answer to give. “You are blessed with life. I not throw this gift away. I have blessed you with talents to serve me but you continue to turn away. I have revealed my word to you, but you do not gain in knowledge. I have spoken to you your ears were closed. I have shown my blessings to you but your eyes were turned away. I have sent you servants, but you satidly, by as they were pushed away. I heard your prayers and I answered them all. DO YOU REALLY LOVE ME?” I could not answer. How could I? I was embarrassed beyond belief. I have no excuse. What could I say to this? Why my heart had cried out and tears had flowed, I said,” Please forgive me Lord, I am unworthy to be your child.” The Lord answered,” That is my grace my child”.

I asked”, then why do you continue to forgive me? Why do you love me so?” The Lord answered,” Because you are my creation, you are my child. You may abandon me, but I will never abandon you. When you cry, I will have compassion and cry with you. When you are down, I will encourage you. When you fall, I will raise you up. When you are tired and weary, I will carry you. I will be with you till the end of the days and I will love you forever.”

Never had I cried so hard before, how could I have been so cold? How could I have hurt God as I had done? I asked God,” HOW MUCH DO YOU LOVE ME?” The Lord stretch on his arms as he said,” THIS MUCH”. And I saw his nail pierced hands, He did love me enough to die for me.

Ang Lamok

Kagabi,hindi ako makatulog.

Nakatingin ako sa kisame habang nagmumuni muni. Hindi nagtagal may lumapit sa akin na lamok at nagtatangka na kagatin ako.

Kinuha ko yung aking mosquito trap(pamatay lamok) pero hindi ko pa nagagamit eh bumigay na ang baterya. Nalowbat. Kaya ang lamok,hayun, malayang lumipad lipad. Umikot ikot. Nariyang dumapo sa mukha, braso, at binti ko. MAinit kasi kaya hindi ako nagkumot. Yung kulambo naman, nakabalot lang sa paa ko. Hehe..

Balik sa lamok,

Tinitingnan ko siya, hindi ko pa kasi pinapatay yung ilaw. Andun lang siya at umaali-aligid sa akin. Hinayaan ko lang. Hindi naman kasi niya ako kinakagat.

Hanggang sa patayin ko ang ilaw. Ang pesteng lamok, kinagat ako sa leeg!!!

Ang sakit pa naman.

Hinampas ko, hindi tinamaan. Binuksan ko ang ilaw, hayun, muli umaligid siya sa aking harapan.

At hinayaan ko lang ulit siya. Hanggang sa nabaon na ako sa malalim na pag-iisip.

Naisip ko na ang lamok, parang tao lang din. Kapag bukas ang ilaw, nariyan sa iyong harapan. Nagbabantay, aaligid. Pero kapag pinatay na ang ilaw,doon sasalakay. Unti unting sisipsipin ang iyong dugo. HAngga't hindi satisfied, magpapabalik balik. At kapag nakuha na ang gusto, kapag busog na. Iiwanan ka na.

Sa tao kasi, hangga't nasa rurok ka ng tagumpay, maraming nakapaligid sa'yo. Mga tao na masasabi nating "gold digger".

Syempre hindi naman lahat. pero kung iisipin, karamihan..Diba?

Hay naku, pesteng lamok, dahil sa kanya kung anu ano ang naiisip ko.

Long Distance Relationship

Sa paglilibot ko sa cyberworld, napadpad ako sa isang site na may tanong na "Does DISTANCE really makes the heart grow APART?"

Well, based on my own experience, masasabi kong hindi lahat ng couple na long distance relationship and drama eh nagbabago ang nararamdaman para sa isa't isa. Lalo na kung talagang nagmamahalan kayo at may tiwala sa isa't isa,ang distance ay hindi magiging hadlang.

Just like my story. Share ko na huh..(heheh)

After ng first semester, syempre sem break na, saktong naging kami ni bf ko. Sa kasamaang palad, hindi natuloy ang pag-aaral ko ng second sem dahil nagkaroon ng problema. Ang ending? Ayun, magkahiwalay kami ng mahigit pitong buwan. Cellphone lang ang naging ugnayan naming dalawa. Minsan sa isang buwan kung magkita kami, pag sinuswerte, nagiging twice at thrice naman. Pero madalang yun.

Niloloko na nga kami ng mga kaibigan ko, sa sistema daw kasi naming dalawa, parang hindi na kami magboyfriend, parang textmate na nga lang daw kami, Syempre, ang mga ganung biro nila eh tinatawanan ko na lang.

Yung iba ko namang kaibigan, sinasabi na," Hay naku Jecka, wag kang umasang ikaw lang ang babae niya, walang matinong lalaki sa mundo. lalo na at magkahiwalay kayo".

Syempre, nasasaktan din ako pag sinasabi nila yung ganun, pero anung magagawa ko? Eh sa magkalayo nga kami eh. Alangan namang kumuha ko ng detective para lang mapatunayan ang loyalty niya sakin. Di naman ako ganun.

sa sobrang tagal namin magkahiwalay, syempre di ko maiwasan na hindi magduda. Di ko maiwasan na isiping baka meron na siyang iba. Na hindi naman pala totoo, lahat ng yun puro hinala lang. Napatunayan ko kasi na tapat talaga siya. Ang sama ko nga dahil minsan, pinagdudahan ko ang fidelity niya.

Pero heto, nakasurvive naman kami. Going strong ang relationship. Parehas kaming masaya at sabay na bumubuo ng pangarap para sa hinaharap,syempre ng magkasama.

Mainam din pala yung minsan,maranasan nyong magkahiwalay para magamit naman yung salitang,"MISS NA KITA...SOBRAAA".

Nagsimula ito kaninang umaga, nung saktong pagbaba ko ng sasakyan. Syempre, sa dami ba naman ng taong nandun saa crossing eh kung bakit naman nakita ko pa si Aldrin.

Yeah dude, si Aldrin. Ang daming pwedeng makita eh siya pa. Kamusta naman yun?
Reminiscing the past ba kamo?pwede, pero hindi!!!ay ewan... Basta ang makita ang naging isa sa pinakamahalagang tao ng iyong nakaraan kasama ang current gf nito ay isa na yata sa pinakamasaklap na pwede mong maranasan. Haay putik.. Tadhana nga naman, lakas magtrip.

Hindi lang naman yan ang dahilan,ito pa, ito ang malupit!!!

Syempre, ano nga ba ang dahilan kung bakit bigla nalang maiinis ang isang babae?hindi ba at dahil sa lalaki?Yeah of course, ang mga lalaking walang kwenta. Mga hindi makuntento sa isa. Ang sarap pagpapatayin isa isa.

Katulad nalang ni ******. Naturingan pa namang heart ko siya, ano ang ginawa ng impakto? WALA!!! Wala siyang ginawa!!Iyon ang nakakainis sa lahat.

Matagal ko ng ipinabubura sa kanya ang mga pictures ng mga babae dun sa fs niya. Umoo naman siya nung una, pero ano?Ginawa ba niya? HINDI!!! Hanggang salita lang. Muztah aman yung ganun. Pati yung pic nung best friend DAW niya, pero naging EX naman niya eh andun pa. Samantalang pic ko, WALA!!! Mabuti pa yung iba.. Buti pa sila.

Mabuti pa si ****, friends lang kami pero muntik na niyang kulektahin pix ko at itreasure ng matagal na panahon.

Yan, di kasi pwedeng pumatay ng hayop kaya sa blog ko nalang idinaan. Kung sakaling mabasa niya 'to, malalaman niyang inis na inis ako sa kanya.

Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao are the three main islands that make up the Philippines:

Luzon is the largest, most populous and northern-most of the main islands making up the Philippine archipelago; contains 24 of the country's 72 provinces, plus the city of Manila -- the country's premier international gateway and is the nation's political, social, cultural, commercial and transportation capital. The county's business capital, Makati City, is also located here. Pilipino (Tagalog) and English are the main language.

Visayas is the general name given to the islands that occupies the central portion of the archipelago, between Luzon in the north and Mindanao in the south. It is composed of the principal islands of Panay, Negros, Cebu, Bohol, Leyte, Samar, and Masbate. Cebu City (known as the Queen City of the South), with its international airport and thriving deep water harbor, is the most important commercial and business center outside of Metro Manila; it is also the transportation center of the Visayas region. Aside from Pilipino and English, Visayan is basically the dialect spoken in these areas.

Mindanao, the second largest island in the Philippines, is bounded by the Philippine Sea on the east, the Celebes Sea on the south, the Sulu Sea on the west, and the Mindanao Sea on the north. The majestic Mayon Volcano was often said to be the world's most perfect cone.
It is the Bicol Region's main tourist attraction and its name was derived from the Bicol word for beautiful "magayon". Thousands have died from the wrath of Mayon's fury. Mayon has erupted on nearly 50 occasions and it's first recorded eruption was in 1616 while the latest was in 1993. Mt. Mayon is one of 21 active volcanoes in the Philippines. It continually emits a plume of sulfuruous smoke even when it's not erupting. Mayon's slopes, which are part woodland, part grassland, and part desert of rock, cinder, and ash, are a 55-square-km national park. On the 27th of February 2000, Mayon Volcano had another explosive eruption. About 48,000 people have fled their villages.

Taal Lake was said to occupy a caldera of a massive ancient volcano. This area now contains two islands, the Volcano Island, which is a National Park (left), and the tiny Napayan Island. Taal Volcano on Volcano Island is touted to be the world's lowest active volcano.

The Luneta Park

A beautiful setting built in honor of the Philippines' greatest hero, Dr. Jose Rizal. Luneta Park used to be called Bagumbayan Field is the place where Dr. Rizal was executed by a Spanish military firing squad at early dawn on December 30, 1896. He was executed for spreading ideals of revolution against Spanish rule. Dr. Rizal wrote his most famous poem "Mi Ultimo Adios" (My Last Farewell) on the eve of his execution.

The Rizal Monument, which serves as a marker on where Dr. Rizal was executed, is manned by two honor guards 24 hours a day. The monument used to house the remains of Dr. Rizal before it was moved to the family's estate in Calamba, Laguna.

nicknamed "The Rock". This was the last bastion to fall

Emergency Postcoital Insertion of an IUD: You can insert this IUD after intercourse. You can insert it up to five to eight days afterwards to protect against pregnancy. This device is inserted into the uterus after unprotected sex. This device prevents the implantation of the fertilized egg.

The advantages of the Emergency Postcoital Insertion of an IUD:

The device can be inserted as much as five to eight days after unprotected sex
The IUD can be used up to twelve years
Fertility is only interrupted during the time the IUD is in place

You may experience increased cramping or bleeding with your cycle

Insertion can take place twenty minutes prior to intercourse
No hormones involved – no side effects
The man does not need to withdrawal his penis after ejaculation
Lubrication is increased with the foam

Possible irritation to the vagina
There is no protection against sexually transmitted diseases

Film (VCF): This is a very small sheet of film that is soaked with spermicide. This is to be placed on or near the cervix. When this happens, it dissolves in seconds. Rock Your world with CAMP ROCK!!!

CAMP ROCK was the second DCOM to air on ABC's the Wonderful World of Disney after it's premiere on Disney Channel last June(2008) and be available online after the premiere. The movie stars the Jonas Brothers (Kevin Jonas, Joe Jonas, and Nick Jonas) and introduces Demi Lovato for her first lead role on the film. The film averaged 8.9 million viewers in over 135 countries on the night of it's premiere, making it the second highest viewed DCOM behind "High School Musical 2".

The story follows Mitchie Torres played by Demi Lovato, an aspiring young musician who is hoping to become a professional singer. Mitchie wants to go to a music camp named "Camp Rock". Since the family can't afford the tuition, Mitchie's mother arranges to cater food for the camp, thus allowing Mitchie to attend. Mitchie tries to conceal this from her friends at camp.

Spoiled brat/pop star Shane Gray(Joe Jonas) has been assigned to be in charge of dance classes for one month at Camp Rock by his bandmates Jason and Nate. Shane hears Mitchie singing and falls in love with the voice, but does not know the identity of the singer. Shane spends much of the movie searching for the girl with the voice. Shane and Mitchie have various interactions, and, when Shane learns her identity, a romance between the two blossoms.

HARDCOURT HEARTTHROB: CHRIS TIU!

Christopher John Alandy-Dy Tiu better known as Chris Tiu, is a 23 years old Chinese-Filipino captain ball and star player of the Ateneo Blue Eagles. He took his elementary and high school education at Xavier School and his college education at Ateneo de Manila University where he finished his two major courses, Bachelor of Science in Management Engineering and Bachelor of Science/Master of Applied Mathematics, Major in Mathematical Finance, Minor in Chinese Studies. Aside from the fact that he’s a good basketball player,he still active in academics. He’s a consistent dean’s lister, a budding entrepreneur, SK chairman and occasional model will finally set foot on television for a pioneering primetime television show under the Kapuso Network!
He’s the co-host of Manny Pacquiao in the every Saturday TV show Pinoy Records and the every Monday show Ripley’s Believe it or not? He’s also the endorser of Hanford underwear. He is formerly the Sangguniang Kabataan Chairman and now, a barangay councilor of Barangay Urdaneta in Makati City.

Aside from being a varsity player and an SK chairman, Chris also spends his time managing a mini business selling rice meals in school. He enjoys travelling and love visiting new destinations - his favourite destinations so far are Salzburg and Vancouver. When he needs to relax, he plays golf and also the the piano when the mood strikes him. Some issues close to his heart are poverty alleviation, advancing better standards of living in the Philippines, and encouraging better standards of education in the country.
